The price to be great is a price that most people won’t pay. Most people will remain in the over populated arena of average in an effort to not be embarrassed for being really bad at something. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The voices of the unknown carry more weight than the encouragement of the voices of those who love you. I used to believe that it was unwise to play a game that you knew you couldn’t win. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I now understand that winning is a process, not a one time occurrence. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I also understand that winning is defined by the people playing the game. If I am attempting to gain more courage in pursuing something outside my comfort zone, winning or losing is irrelevant; it’s about the first step.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Winning or losing is a binary perspective put forth by myopic minds. I used to think that there was nothing more important than winning but I now understand that I get to define the rules of the game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So yeah, according to you, when I first begin something, I really suck at it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
But when I understand that it’s through the journey that I am refined, I divorce myself from the immediate outcome of winning and losing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
